Can you film with a drone in Den Helder and the tip of North Holland?
Yes, with the right authorisation. The De Kooy CTR is military: we file the mission plan with LVNL, which coordinates with military air traffic control. On the day, the tower gives final permission.
How far ahead should I plan a drone shoot in the De Kooy CTR?
As early as possible. Military activity decides when there is room, so the earlier we file, the more choice of shooting times.
Does anything change on 26 November 2026 in the De Kooy CTR?
No. The new CTR zoning of 26 November 2026 applies only to the civil airports Schiphol, Rotterdam, Groningen, Maastricht and Lelystad. Military CTRs stay as they are.
What frequency is the De Kooy CTR tower on?
De Kooy Tower on 120.130 MHz; also De Kooy Arrival 124.230, De Kooy Ground 121.730, De Kooy Information 133.010. CTR vertical limits: Ground to 3,000 ft (± 900 m) above sea level (airspace class D). Source: AIP Netherlands, AIRAC 10-2026. Which frequency applies on the day is set in the approved mission plan.
Can you check whether my location works?
Yes. Send the address or a pin, the date and the shot you want. We check which zone it falls in, what is needed and whether there is an easier alternative nearby.
